@gruber In your conversations about the core technology fee on Dithering ans @daringfireball your back of the napkin math continually focuses on numbers of users. If I’m not mistaken, the fee is required for every download. Does this mean app updates as well? If so, the cost could skyrocket quickly with how often app updates are released.

@lexfri @rebound Years ago when my internet speed first went from 100-200, I noticed I continued to get 100Mbps consistently. The culprit was my surge protector which also had Ethernet surge protection. Those Ethernet ports were capped at 100. I removed it from the equation and the speed immediately jumped.
