It's release day! #Mastodon 4.2 will drop later today. I'm very excited for all the improvements we've been working on since January to become available to all server operators and their users.

Rather than users needing to petition individual Instance Admins & Mods for this, would it be possible pls for you to add these into the default Masto s/w config, so that it automatically becomes available fediverse-wide? 🤷‍♀️

Expand the #emojis available in the compose-toots emoji-picker tool, by adding these commonplace #FOSS #Linux ones [which are available in at least some #Instances ]:

Note that my current Instance already has  , but IMO that should also be added to the preceding fediverse-wide list to cover individual Instances not already having it.

Iirc now, it's possible that i might have slightly erred with at least some of those you couldn't do, eg, maybe these variants instead?
