Today, Russian ambassador to Denmark, Vladimir Barbin, said “Denmark donating 19 F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine will lead to an escalation of the conflict”.

Prime Minister of Denmark, Mette Frederiksen, then replied: “Right this evening, Russia could leave Ukraine, and then the conflict would end.”

@randahl Russia responds to nothing but force. Diplomacy and whatnot is viewed by them as a weakness through which to take advantage of you.

For Putin, his decades of seeking ties with Europe was part of a long game of finding how best to betray it and attempt domination.

@randahl Yeah... but if we really wanted Vlad out of Ukraine, that would not be hard. The endless war, the profits surging for American aviation and weapons companies. Ukraine's independence must hold fast, but, man—fuck all this war. All the trauma, across borders. All the death. And for one small man's greed & his cowering lackeys.
