I like dogs, video games, and movies, in that order

Little better bio:

I’m retired from the US military after 20 years service. I love my dogs, video games, and movies. I’m the sort of guy who’ll bring a stray dog home from the side of the road, people that are bigoted or hateful just suck balls, and I like to pretend I’m a photographer sometimes.

Season 10, Episode 4
Fun fact: You can see someone's post, disagree with it or notice a flaw, and simply *not* comment on it. You are under no obligation to correct and enlighten people, or indeed interact with them at all. It's often not worth the effort.

Eldest Offspring (20) is doing a thing where he is reconnecting with his high school romantic partner, who broke his heart 3 years ago after a kinda-unhealthy relationship.

He's being very confident about setting boundaries and not letting them bulldoze him. He's very clear that he doesn't trust them anymore, despite their apologies for their ill treatment of him.

I'm really impressed with him. He's doing great.

He swung his axe. Metal met bark. Sap oozed from the wound while the leaves cascaded down like tears.

We have given Taylor Swift too much power. One day she will enslave us all in the hell of her sequin mines.
Looking over my left shoulder, I see Mom staring at me, knuckles white on the handle of her cart. I turn my head to find Nana behind the avocados, glaring. My heart pounding, I raise a hand towards the shelf. A bead of sweat falls from my forehead, hitting the floor with a splat.
When sperm whales need a nap, they take a deep breath, dive down about 45 feet and arrange themselves into perfectly-level, vertical patterns. They sleep sound and still for up to two hours at a time between breaths, in pods of 5 or 6 whales, presumably for protection. No one knew whales slept vertically until a 2008 study documented the behavior. And no one captured really good photography of it in the wild until 2017 with Patrick Dykstra documenting sperm whales.

How Long Do EV Batteries Last? New Research Suggests It's Way Longer Than You Might Think

An independent analysis of 15,000 EV batteries finds that most don't need to be replaced until they're well over a decade old.

If you finally found the solution to your coding problem in a deep comment or something after having dozens of tabs open, you should write about it in your own blog.

Really. Describe the problem in your own words and the solution for it, even if the solution seems really obvious now. Doesn’t matter. Give credit and whatever, but use your own words because you will be surprised at how many people will land on it.

Write the blog post you wish you had found.
