It isn't for everyone yet, but if you are looking to degoogle your life, it is an option to look into.
Another option would be to find an old compatible phone and put #postmarketOS or degoogled android.

I don't use any banking apps. I sign into my account through a web browser. If you require a banking app, then, yeah, #mobilinux might not be for you.
De-googling your life requires accepting some limitations and inconveniences. For me, it has been worth it.
