Greg Lowe@marcoarment have you considered using #Unifi Cameras (G5) with https://www.scrypted.app/ ? This enables bridging to #homekit and #securevideo. I've found that this solution is fairly reliable and uses Unifi Protect which also provides more functionality including Smart motion detection.
Have this set up in my summer cabin and it's been rock solid.
