The best part of being an #indiedev is the fantastic fan mail that you get.

"Talented programmer, with horrible intentions" - this goes on my CV from now on.

#gamedev

@lavesson Like getting a positive review. πŸ˜„
@lavesson "I played it for 16+ hours" pull quote 😎
@aeva Hahaha. I'm so tempted πŸ˜†
@lavesson wtf even is this
"I went out of my way to play a genre I dislike, this is clearly a moral failing on the dev's part"
@Kiloku @lavesson Seriously. Not every game is for every player lol

@brycedixon @Kiloku Right? And that's completely fine.

I've played games,read books and watched movies I didn't enjoy. Never once did I write an angry email to the creator(s).

@Kiloku ...and still played it for 16 hours before coming to that conclusion. πŸ˜†

@lavesson I always like to try to imagine people who read books discovering a genre that they don't like and wondering why it wasn't written with them in mind instead.

Like... you don't have to play/enjoy *every* video game. Some of them aren't going to be made for you. That's okay! 🀯

@martincrownover *exactly* this! My wife and I have been joking around about how silly it would be to write angry emails to author's who's books we didn't enjoy.

It's ok if not every book, movie and game ever made is made for you specifically.

The world is probably more interesting and diverse that way too.

@lavesson sounds like you did everything right. πŸ™‚
