Someone pranked him, he reported the prankster, who was trans (and he almost certainly had no idea), and everyone overreacted and accused him of being transphobic because of the report, which is not true. He was dogpiled as soon as he got here.

As a result, Wheaton was labeled a TERF and booed off the server.
