@sonyasteele yeah, the struggle is real. Earlier this year I designed/built a site for a group of folks in southern Oregon who were trying to save their libraries. Some religious extremist fascists were trying to infiltrate their Board. But they won and kept them away.

That's a county library, and they DEFINITELY have the money to replace those books.

If you live in San Diego, you can choose from City libraries or County libraries. In general, the city library has an excellent selection of print books, but not very good at ebooks, and the county has a great selection of both, but if you want the newest release, chances are you can get it from the county first as an epub.

No the county definitely has the money to replace those books. Wouldn't be shocked if the county sheriff went after them.

@sonyasteele doesn’t this show that the stock the libraries have of these books is too small for the demand, so they should order more of these books and pay them with the penalties the ones who don’t return books have to pay?

@sonyasteele Sounds like confession to theft of state property to me. Plus, that line about “how adults experience sexual attraction” to me means that the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition must also be banned, along with any other material that objectifies women, or men too for that matter. I bet they didn’t think this through.
