Can confirm - that 6.3v Cap will NOT support 120v. Just cross that off the testing list.

@jerryhjones Oof! If you're lucky and the transformer's secondary isn't blown up, that might be repairable.
@jaseg At a glance, it looks like it only blew the caps. Planning to crack it open and see if I can repair (after I've had some coffee).
In the mean time, ordered a replacement to keep the project moving forward. Halloween approaches! 😎
Have had a few hiccups along the way....
I blew past the current limits of the buck converter I was using, and I didn't notice until I added the extra weight of the skull back to the equation. 🤦🏻♂️
However, I wish I had learned about this LTC4311 sooner! Now I can move the compute and power mostly out of his head, and drive the I2C board over cat5!
