Lagging on the updates on this, but making progress. Shifted gears to figure ouhalloweenprops #12footskeletonw working on making him as self contained as possible. Making a mount for the pi and servo control board that will go in his head.

Quick way to let out the magic smoke. Guess I shouldn’t hook up electronics before coffee.
Can confirm - that 6.3v Cap will NOT support 120v. Just cross that off the testing list.

@jaseg At a glance, it looks like it only blew the caps. Planning to crack it open and see if I can repair (after I've had some coffee).

Have had a few hiccups along the way....
I blew past the current limits of the buck converter I was using, and I didn't notice until I added the extra weight of the skull back to the equation. 🤦🏻♂️
However, I wish I had learned about this LTC4311 sooner! Now I can move the compute and power mostly out of his head, and drive the I2C board over cat5!
