Doing a very quick search, I found more than TEN instances of flash flooding in the US within the past 24 hours.

Flash flooding occurred from the West to the East coast.

@Steveb @Free_Press My stepdaughter couldn't open the doors of her car after going off an embankment into a raging river. She also tried opening (electric, nonfunctioning) windows and kicking out the windshield before she drowned. There is a new guard rail now where she went off the road in the rainstorm. Being able to get out of a car in raging water is essential.

@opalmirror @Free_Press that is a fair point. I did not much buy the others, but I can see how getting stuck in the car is a big risk. I hadnā€™t considered that.
