Upd: in Russia there was even a situation when lonely parent(Father) lost his little daughter because she made a drawing with peace and love theme. I heard that Father even was put in jail because of that.

The US openly did business with the nazis, specifically ordered bombers not to bomb factories important to nazi war efforts that us businessmen invested in, had general patton saying stuff like "we fought the wrong enemy" and then set up fascist stay behinds in europe after world war 2 and hid weapons caches for them for a *break glass in case of communism* failsafe.
