@IceCubesApp any chance for a Linux client ?
@IceCubesApp using Ice Cubes for some time already and enjoy the app. Clean UI, able to follow the timelines on the other servers. Highly recommended
@IceCubesApp I'm curious what you mean by "proper directe message interface."

@Elephantidae When you go to DMs they are shown as in an instant messaging app format (with text in “speech bubbles”), not in the classic post format, so it helps you understand that you’re in DM mode. Just a visual change, but I like it!

@IceCubesApp

@IceCubesApp One of the best app I’ve ever used.
Highly recommend it!
@matharl @IceCubesApp same here. Clean, easy to use, and works really well.
@matharl @IceCubesApp I tried a bunch of apps - this one is the winner. Great app!
@IceCubesApp Does #IceCubes support iCloud-Sync now?
@IceCubesApp been using the app for a few days and the one thing I cannot seem to live with is tapping the < button to exit a toot view. This should be a left-to-right swipe. Actions are great, but basic navigation is better. Oh, and try reaching for that button on an iPad!

@mfedoseev This must be a bug because I’m pretty sure swipe navigation is already supported.

@IceCubesApp

@ilyess @IceCubesApp This is what I meant. Swipes only show an action, but don’t go back to previous view, that’s only done via the button at the top. Or tapping the sidebar icons, I suppose (just as inconvenient). Latest iPadOS 16.5.1.

@mfedoseev Oh you're on iPad. I missed that part, my bad. You could open up a Github issue on their repo about this: https://github.com/Dimillian/IceCubesApp/issues

@IceCubesApp Ice Cubes is one of my favourites :) The only thing I really miss is filtering boosts and replies from timelines and, ideally, from user profiles (I don't know of any client that supports the latter, I only tried some free ones).

@Triffen @IceCubesApp
I agree: that would be great to have one tab on people’s profiles which is only main posts without boosts or answers.

There is
https://justmytoots.com/ that will do what you say, but it takes you outside of Mastodon so not the most convenient.

JustMyToots

@elduvelle @IceCubesApp This site looks useful but got me an error when I tried it on a profile. Does it usually work?

@Triffen
It definitely works, but relies on opt-in: the account needs to put their “just my toots” url in their profile.
Try mine for example: https://justmytoots.com/@elduvelle@neuromatch.social

So if we spread the word, hopefully more people will do it!

JustMyToots

@elduvelle Oh! I'll do this too then.
@IceCubesApp Add ability to load replies and profiles from remote (like Mammoth) and I’ll be back!
@IceCubesApp love this app, thank you! It feels like Twitterriffic, but better
@IceCubesApp this is by far the best iOS app for Mastodon, keep the good work!
I have a suggestion that I haven’t found in GitHub, but I want to talk it over first before filling a request there, to make sure they make sense. I love the Remote Local Timelines feature, as it allows me to follow multiple instances Trending Toots, but I wish there was a “Merged view” were I could see all the trending toots of all the remotes in 1 place.
Something like https://feditrends.com/statuses
feditrends - trending statuses

Aggregrating the latest trends from across the fediverse.

@IceCubesApp it’s pretty slow. I suppose that’s just the nature of how mastodon works.

@IceCubesApp

hi! is there a way to swipe between timeliness or is it only the drop down menu at the top?

@IceCubesApp Anyone would be forgiven if they thought Ice Cubes was the official Mastodon app and that the official Mastodon app was a third-party 🙂
@IceCubesApp coole App. Kann ich nir empfehlen

@IceCubesApp Ice Cubes on an iPad is my favorite way to interface with Mastodon. It also looks very nice in dark mode.

The only obstacle that I’ve encountered is with video playback. If you click on a video to play it, it does that, but it also opens a pop-up that plays the same video (usually lagging the first by a couple seconds). So you hear a mishmash of the video being played twice and it’s difficult to only get the one. Sometimes the pop-up video can only be stopped by closing the app.

Edit: Going to Settings, Content Settings, and turning off Auto Play Videos seems to fix this.

@IceCubesApp so it’s easy to access lists. How do you create new lists?

@IceCubesApp wonderful app!

Is it possible to sync the timeline between iPad and IPhone? I usually use #icecubesapp from my IPhone while on the move and when, at home, I open the app on my iPad I would like to see just the number of new post since when I used it on the iPhone instead of seeing all new post since last time on iPad. Or at least a button to mark all as read without the need to browse the timeline again to the top.

Anyway, great app!
