Meanwhile, Mitch McConnell randomly shows up to work with purple bruises all over his face and the former guy nearly died when he got COVID, and Clarence Thomas was hospitalized for several days within the last year. @DataDrivenMD I also use a CPAP machine. It has really improved my life. I wish I was surprised by the media’s reaction, but I’m not. This could be an opportunity to raise awareness and encourage people to seek treatment.

@DataDrivenMD I didn’t know this. Good for #Biden! Sleep apnea is not to be messed with; in the early 2010s my husband was having trouble functioning during the day due to the condition. Once correctly diagnosed thru a sleep study he began using a #CPAP and it was literally life changing.

In conclusion: MSM should be CHEERING Biden for taking the condition seriously & using a remedy (much like Senator John Fetterman when diagnosed with depression). The double standard is glaring.

I'm guessing that nobody remembers JFK's crippling chronic back pain, Reagan's colon & facial skin cancers & slipping mentation, that FDR was wheelchair-bound due to polio, etc. Sleep apnea is so common anymore that people compare masks, tube cleaning techniques, et al. Meanwhile, TFG is obese, has a pretty unhealthy lifestyle, & fairly obvious glitches in his mentation. Pres Biden seems to be taking measures to stay healthy. People love to gossip.

@DataDrivenMD CPAPs are not pieces of equipment worn only by geezers. A lot of folks in their 30s and 40s wear them at night because sleep apnea leads to immediate health issues. Did these so-called media outlets ever learn the basics?

It is the same with Trump.

Trump makes fun of Chris Christie's weight, but hardly a sound about Trump being obese.

Trump attacks Biden's age, but hardly a peep that Trump is only 4 years younger, obese, slurs his speech, doesn't talk in complete sentences, has had trouble controlling his arm, has stumbled on video needing to sit down, and need assistance walking down a shallow ramp. Neurological problems, medical records he has kept people from seeing.

Many people in their 30s & 40s have CPAPs. Biden doesn't have his issue because of excess weight. He is taking care of his brain and his cognitive health, more than can be said for Trump.

@DataDrivenMD I wouldn't say the media is "tripping over itself." There was some reporting on this and the White House issued a statement about it. Even minor health concerns about a president (especially one who is 80 and running for re-election) are going to generate greater interest than a senior figure of the other branches of government.
