Nice! Bet it comes without the killer arm pain, too.
Yes, of course, as all side effects are. I get every available shot anyway. This was just me getting excited about some promising results for an option that wouldn't involve a shot in the arm.
Wow!!
@erictopol What's the relationship between "inactivated" and "mRNA"?
(What I'm really interested in is: how does this sentence in the abstract relate to the US vaccine situation? "...who had received two doses of inactivated COVID-19 vaccine as their primary regimen.")
@erictopol More than 5-fold as effective at preventing infection! That's great news!
I'm glad the current vaccines stop us from dying, but, honestly, we're far from done yet. _Preventing infection_ is the goal.
Except from the standpoint of politicians who'd just like to get away from all the nasty headlines.
This is very exciting!!! I hope it rolls out to everyone soon!

Fumigating fogger style delivery system when?
I'm kidding, but the thought is enticing.
For those asking whether Ad5-nCov is live or attenuated:
It's a recombinant, with a weakened adenovirus carrier mutated to exhibit the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein. The spike protein is what triggers the antibody reaction, but the virus itself isn't there. Wild adenoviruses cause flu, this one isn't strong enough for it and is used in many vaccines for the same carrier function.

@erictopol
Does this mean that the immuno-compromised can get it for instance?
When can I get some? :)
