Happy #solstice
This photo was a 6 month exposure from my back yard, It shows the tracks of sunlight from one solstice to the next.
I was using a pin hole direct to paper system by solar can.

Thanks for the link, it is an instructive gadget 🤩

@keir what is this wow 😯 how interesting
@keir do you know what created the faint vertical lines?
@keir Neat, reminds me of the Lorenz attractor.
@keir Nice! I was thinking about doing something like this. Still might try it for myself :)
@Steveg58 @keir Thanks, Steveg! Always great to meet another solargrapher!
@keir whoa, this is awesome!
@keir thank you! This is so beautiful.

@keir

Super cool. The camera is fixed right? No crazy tracking system needed?

@float13 yep, cable tied to my deck 😊
@keir Wow! I now need an entire 'cast on how to do that 😀
@keir Good job that’s beautiful.
@keir
Interesting, beautiful pictures🤩
@keir That’s absolutely astonishing. Bravo!
@keir that’s way too cool! My li’l amateur photography brain was all “how did he switch the batteries out that many times??” 😂
@keir that is really impressive!!! what is your latitude?
@keir this is amazing, thanks for sharing!
@keir cyanotype?
@djm I'm not sure what the active process was, but the blue color of the photo was after inverting the color in software. I think cyanotype goes directly blue.
@keir
Amazing. I wondered how the solarcan attached to a camera, but realized the can is the camera 🙂
@keir I love this image! Thanks for sharing it.
@keir this image really conveys the immense of scale of the cosmos. Stunning!

@keir
Wow. That is just stunning, both as a scientific diagram and as a work of art.

Just gorgeous.
@rysiek

@keir That's really cool! I admit I don't understand photography here much, so if you don't mind - I'm curious what are the black dots in the upper middle of the picture? Is it dust or fungus?
@Anijatsu i suspect that was caused by water droplets on the pin hole lens
@[email protected] very impressive.
