Messed around a bit with Faust ( https://faust.grame.fr/ ) today.
One neat thing is that applying an LFO onto anything is literally just multiplication β you can apply it to an arbitrary number of signals with just `:> _ * os.osc(lfo_freq)`.

arxiv.org preprint: "The data heat island effect: quantifying the impact of AI data centers in a warming world".
Excerpt: "We estimate that the land
surface temperature increases by 2Β°C on average after the start of operations of an AI data centre, inducing local microclimate zones, which we call the data heat island effect."

"AI data centres can warm surrounding areas by up to 9.1Β°C. Hundreds of millions of people live close enough to data centres used to power AI to feel warmer average temperatures in their local area."

Thunderdome is a criminally underrated concept and we should be bringing it back big-time.
Messy social conflict in your hackerspace? Thunderdome!
Beef with a colleague at work? Thunderdome!
Political debates? Nah, bruh, just put them fuckers in the dome. Two politicians go in, one politician comes out β THUNDERDOME! \o/
And it's not like the setting doesn't have potential.
The protagonist is steering a sentient spaceship β which she abandoned for SEVEN YEARS.
There is a bit of conflict between them around this and at one point it almost looks like it will pay off in the plot, but this is literally dropped within fifteen fucking seconds only to never be mentioned again β in favor of presenting pop-psychology listicle items as profound realizations instead. π€¦
