Got slowed down this week by some kind of an extra-terrestial stomach bug 😷, but I'm still happy to report that as of today, all #SlipwaysGame missions are playable in the Switch port! 🚀
...playable of course doesn't mean bug-free 😅

@davidcampey I am probably doing it on my own account. I did talk to a few publishers, but for varying reasons decided not to go that way.
The Nintendo process is a bit bureaucratic and the submission form to become an official developer is a bit confusing, but I can attest that you can get through it by just having a cool game you want to port to Switch 😅
@krajzeg Nice! Thanks for the insight on your journey.
Yes the application process has indeed scared us off after starting. We'll give it a try again soon, switch is our target platform, so been waiting for a playable demo before applying there.
The Steam joycon support has been good for testing proof of concept, but looking forward to being on the real kit.
@krajzeg we're working on a switch couch co-op, so the joycons each handheld is our ideal use case. As per this recent playtesting photo.
Would you recommend the steam deck just for form factor, or is the device similar enough for testing?
Do you have the switch dev kit and the custom unity build already?
@davidcampey Looking good!
Steam Deck mostly for form factor for games intended to be played handheld - doesn't look like that's the case for yours, so scratch that. For other stuff, Steam Deck is not much help since it's quite a bit more powerful in most regards.
I do have a dev kit, but can't really answer any questions about it - all that stuff is gated behind an NDA.
