Whoa. The EU just passed sweeping new regulations on batteries. An important section:

"Designing portable batteries in appliances in such a way that consumers can themselves easily remove and replace them;"

This seems like it will apply to phones and computers. The days of the "glass sandwich" phone might soon be over!
