#FPQuestion of the day:

1. What is your name?
2. What is your quest?
3. What is your favorite colour [of ink]?

#FountainPen

@penfount
1. Brave Sir Robin of Camelot
2. To seek the holy grail pen
3. Blue! noo...Purple! No, blurpleAAAAAAH!

@paradoxmo @penfount derp if I had just opened the thread, I would have answered my own question... in that case...

1. well... hmm... SUPERPLANNERGIRL of the Realm of Hobonichi. : )

2. to hang out with pen friends...

3. turquoise, teal, purple, blue... sometimes a nice dark green. (I have very little ink variety in my life- maybe need to fix this)

@penfount learning the ropes here- are we intended to reply with answers on this thread?
@penfount
1 - Alexa
2 - pens!
3 - 💜

@penfount
1. Jezlyn/Hellion/Cheryl depending on where you look
2. To have a happy life
3. Currently my jam is dusky colors, like Troublemaker Abalone, Rohrer & Klingner Scabiosa, Sailor Yurameku Date-Gokoro, DeAtramentis Document Fog Grey

I know that’s not a real answer, but I can never choose

@jezlyn @penfount re: dusky, what do you think of Herbin Poussière de Lune? It was one of my first inks and I still love it. Name means “moondust” (:
@paradoxmo @penfount I have this ink in my Lamy Dialog CC, but I think it has dried/concentrated because now when I write with it, it is SUPER slow to dry, like a sheening ink (worse than my actual sheening inks). Perhaps it’ll behave better in another pen.
@jezlyn how long has it been in there? You could always do a quick in-out dip in water and see if that fixes it
@paradoxmo Yup, I rinsed the nib and feed briefly then tested again and it seems better. I also saw that the converter is basically empty, so I guess the ink had dried and congealed in the feed. Oops. 😅 At least I can clean out the pen and refill with another ink now.

@penfount
1. Dyed left hand, although funnily enough I don’t do that as much these days as compared to my pre fountain pen time

2. Hanging out with other pen people and hopefully still having a bank account at the end

3. If I had to choose I’d probably pick purple but I recently got my hands on a new blue I’ve really been liking and choices are hard

@penfount
1. write_knife_sew or like a decade ago on a game about ninjas, panegyrist
2. Pen interaction with lovely people who don't think I'm insane for spending this much on ink, paper and pens
3. Um. All? 🤦‍♀️ But purples, pinks, dingy olive and black are always inked. But I'm really freaking loving celadon cat.

@write_knife_sew @penfount Ninjas? I remember playing Puzzle Pirates...

Did you get / have you tried Sailor's Warning?

@paradoxmo @penfount
I *think* the online game was called Silent Murder. You had to hit F5 a lot to attack people, it has a room where everyone just like free-form typed? I drew/made a shit-ton of profile art for people. But, not like a moving picture video game like on the Wii.

Holy shit balls. I swear I'm not 87.

And yes to ink, but needs more shimmer to ink ratio. I should take away like half the plain ink. When it does its thing it is gorgeous.

@write_knife_sew @penfount re: Sailor’s Warning, that sounds awesome. They probably had to limit the amount of shimmer to have the ink flow properly. I think I will pick it up next time I go to my local pen shop
@paradoxmo @penfount it has way less particulate on the bottom after sitting compared to other Diamine shimmers. Maybe the, uh, sparkle dispenser was running low? Lol Either way, it is a pretty orange-coral, but when the light pink/sky blue shimmer hits, it is one of my favorite inks. No clue if this makes sense to anyone else- but it would fit perfectly in this paint job.
@write_knife_sew @penfount I’m just imagining what this “sparkle dispenser” looks like hahaha
@paradoxmo @penfount I'm hoping for fairy wand shaped.

1) Kernal 64
2) My quest is to find a fountain pen ink that's as close a match as possible to the Bic Cristal turquoise color.
3) Blues/greens/teals
@penfount
1. What's in a name 😆
2. Calligraphy & art
3. Green 💚
@penfount @paradoxmo
1) Intellidepth
2) flex
3) purples 💜 teals 🩵 and sometimes oranges 🧡
@penfount
1. tallastro
2. I seek practical pens, inks, and papers. Not that I don't go for pretty but none that can't serve my writing needs. Like permanent or water resistant inks.
3. Hmm, blue. Branching out as I find cool colors that don't become illegible with water damage. Nahvalur's new inks are good. Rich color but leave a readable gray if the color gets washed away.
@penfount Cade and/or RusaPen is my name. My quest is to stop buying so many inks 😅 and my fave ink color is blue with purple coming in close second.

@penfount

1) Adam
2) to be the very best, like no one ever was
3) I tend to gravitate toward green, purple, teal, and navy, but I have something that I use and love in just about every color except yellow!
