Shiso - Wikipedia

Nattō is an ubiquitous home breakfast food. It's fermented soy beans covered in a slimy fluid similar to mucus, and has a pungent smell.

It's clearly an acquired taste. As a foreigner, sometimes I get praised for being able to eat nattō 😆

@codewiz maybe it's partially a genetic thing, I always thought it smelled a little bit like coffee or something, never unpleasant. Though when I try to make it at home, sometimes it doesn't turn out right and smells of ammonia.
@jeeves I'll try to pay attention to the smell next time. I definitely thought natto had a vague hint of ammonia.
@codewiz I've always liked natto. But I have always been a bit odd.
@codewiz I like natto, but natto rolls are still wrong.
@codewiz What's on the top right? Tofu skins?
Edit: nevermind, I see it's in the previous post.
@jeeves Everything is so delicious... I have to ask to give me less 米 or I'll eat too much!
