Your biographical posts are important. Often it is a young life that is cut short by the murderers, barely started, never given a chance. Sometimes the murderers break a life rich in achievement. Here with Teodor Ryder, we are fortunate to see his record as an accomplished conductor and a source of community spirit and moral resistance in the Ghetto.

Teodor Ryder, we remember you.

Teodor's wife Ida died when they were still in the Ghetto.

Ida Ryder, we remember you.

He studied here in #darmstadt in his early career, but I definitely know there is no street named after him and I believe also no memorial plaque anywhere. I will contact the Jewish Community here http://jg-darmstadt.de/ to see what can be done.
