The infamous Zyklon B was manufactured by a subsidiary of IG Farben, now known as Bayer AG.

During World War II, starting in 1941, Bayer AG (then I.G. Farben) had a chemical plant built in the immediate vicinity of the #Auschwitz concentration camp. When, in 1942, neither Soviet forced laborers nor the prisoners of Auschwitz were available, #Bayer established its own concentration camp, the Buna-Monowitz concentration camp. Due to the inhumane living and working conditions, large numbers of people died there or were murdered in the nearby gas chambers at Auschwitz-Birkenau as soon as they were no longer fit for work. The life expectancy of the inmates was less than four months, and over 25,000 people died on the construction site alone.

Since virtually no one was held accountable in the former Federal Republic of Germany and everything simply carried on as before, it is hardly surprising that another #genocide and the Eastern Campaign occurred. #ww2 #IGfarben #zyklonb #holocaust #palestine #lebanon
