I don’t have a garden, but I’m really worried about the bees so I bought a planter, compost and seeds (blue cornflowers) that I’ve popped just outside our back door.

The lot cost less than £10 and if it works and sustains even one bee it’ll be worth it.

I have also emailed our housing association to ask that they observe #NoMowMay or at least not mow the grounds as feverishly as they did last year.

Thank you to @bumblebeeconservationtrust for the tips!

We have growth!! Form a queue, bees!

It’s been a wee while since my last update, but things are very leafy now, and we have buds!

Hopefully they flower soon, because our housing association is still overzealously mowing the nearby grass (and depriving local bees of their dandelions)

We have bloomage! On the first flowers I’ve ever planted from seed in my life 🥰

My first bee!! (That I’ve witnessed)

It’s hugely satisfying to finally see pollinators using this little pit stop I planted over 2 months ago! 🐝
