Some lovely bees on the alliums today 😍🐝 Noticing a good number of 🐝 all around the garden, they always make me stop and smile. I've been gradually adding more and more plants for pollinators each year. Still a way to go, but finally it's getting there! πŸ‘πŸŒΊπŸŒΈπŸŒΌ

Note to self, I need to plant way more allium bulbs for next year! 😁πŸ₯°

Lots of bees on the Cerinthe major. They just love it. It's a lovely cut flower too. Sown in March, you can collect the oddly shaped black seeds and never need to buy it again.

It’s been a wee while since my last update, but things are very leafy now, and we have buds!

Hopefully they flower soon, because our housing association is still overzealously mowing the nearby grass (and depriving local bees of their dandelions)

Meet Hedge Woundwort. As the name indicates it does something good for wounds. After bloody battles, wounds were dressed with these leaves, they have fine hairs and are good at soaking up nasty fluids from wounds and it also has some antiseptic qualities. These were naughty plants growing out of our compost bin in The Wildlife Garden in the park. After I took this I had to trim them down and dig them out. I transplanted them to a new home in the woods #Nikon #AffinityPhoto2 #PlantsForPollinators
