I'm an adventurous eater, but even I draw a line somewhere
@PavelASamsonov I'm glad they're keeping it refrigerated. Lorem Ipsum goes bad pretty quickly, especially the Dolor variety.
@larand
It's more poignant, and a bit less sweet, than the regular Lorem Ipsum.
@PavelASamsonov
@PavelASamsonov it’s great as a placeholder snack to hold you over until you can eat a real meal.
@stephancastro
To be fair, many of my meals are placeholders.
@PavelASamsonov
@PavelASamsonov @larand Exactly. Amazon Kitchen? Blegh!

@joshua @PavelASamsonov @larand

Amazon Kitchen: it's where all overworked Amazon workers go to di[n]e.

@PavelASamsonov They did as well, it's there, right under the the word "wrap".
@PavelASamsonov @Compassionatecrab “& Cheddar” is absolutely sending me 😆
@aaronpallan @PavelASamsonov @Compassionatecrab Yes, this. A friend pointed me at this picture this morning, and 12 hours later I keep giggling every time I see the "& Cheddar".

@PavelASamsonov This reminds of that time when the cafeteria operator at a client put a new label on their excellent bacon & cucumber sandwiches, but ran out of space, so he shortened it to

BACON
& CUM.

instead. I would like to think that I pointed it out to him at the time, but I am not entirely sure now, more than a decade later.

@mejofi @PavelASamsonov i used to work with someone who would deliberately do that - plausible deniability
@OliverNoble @PavelASamsonov Pretty sure this was a case of English as a second language, and not a deliberate pun 😄

@mejofi @OliverNoble @PavelASamsonov

It's Lorem Ipsum. Placeholder text.

Someone was supposed to input text and didn't.

...& cheddar likely comes from someone checking a box.
Amazon. It's all automated.

@PavelASamsonov What are you worried about? A USDA Lorem Ipsum inspector approved it.
@mattblaze @PavelASamsonov
No, the last administration culled the USDA inspectors. There's more profit if you don't have to toss the spoiled Lorem.
@mattblaze oh man, I want the job of Lorem Ipsum Inspector!! 🤓
@PavelASamsonov you should report that to the relevant local, state, and federal authorities. Mislabeling a food product is illegal. (Presuming the back is messed up as well..)
@nbax @PavelASamsonov Yeah, that's grounds for a recall.

@nbax @PavelASamsonov

Exactly!

This is proof that it's a very BAD idea to try to automate everything! Turn them in!!!

@PavelASamsonov I wouldn't mind a subtle hint of lorem ipsum, but if it's the first listed ingredient, that's clearly far too much.
@PavelASamsonov @steve latest cook date in 43BC? Definitely unfresh
@PavelASamsonov Bro this tastes so generic. Lot's of filler ingredients.
@PavelASamsonov if lorem ipsum has an expiration date, we haven't hit it yet.
@PavelASamsonov I would try that. Maybe it is really tasty and healthy
@PavelASamsonov Dolor on a sandwich puts double meaning to ‘pain’
@PavelASamsonov You're not missing much. It's pretty bland, too much flavourless filler.
@PavelASamsonov I bet it tastes ac suscipit neque with just a hint of mollis est sed velit. But I worry it may make my insides feel n̵̖͗̄e̶̬̐͜c̸̯̐ ̸̛̹͔a̵̖͋͜͝u̴͔͗͝ǵ̵͇̲͘ū̶̧͔ĕ̸̢̳ ̷̦͌͝m̷̞͙̈́̍o̷͓̚l̷͙̈̃ĕ̴̫͓̕s̷̗͊̂t̸̢͌i̴͎̓é̸͉̬͐ ̵͖͠c̶͕͖̎̆ȯ̶͓n̸̹̾d̷͓̋̽i̷͈̾ͅḿ̴̖̭e̷̡̤̚n̴̯̐t̷̖͊ú̷͓̼̆m̴̼̅͑
@PavelASamsonov @nedbat I think only programmers would get this reference
@gkowalsk @nedbat what do programmers have to do with lorem ipsum?
@PavelASamsonov @nedbat We use it all the time on projects to fill in text https://www.lipsum.com/
Lorem Ipsum - All the facts - Lipsum generator

Reference site about Lorem Ipsum, giving information on its origins, as well as a random Lipsum generator.

@gkowalsk @PavelASamsonov @nedbat Lorem Ipsum has been used in publishing long before programming, as far back as the 1st century BC.
@gkowalsk @PavelASamsonov @nedbat programmers are but the very last group that learned to use placeholder text. (but it's typical for a programmer to claim something out of ignorance and then don't acknowledge both the correction and their ignorance.)
@mawhrin @gkowalsk @PavelASamsonov @nedbat hey, give us some credit, without programmers, there would be no bugs 😂 🤣
@mawhrin
Wow, living up to your bio. "Offensive."
@nedbat also annoyed, acerbic, bad-tempered, caustic and exhausted.
@gkowalsk no. it's used in all kinds of publishing and advertising contexts.
@PavelASamsonov Did you find that in the "Latin Foods" section?
