Bij metingen van de waterkwaliteit heeft Hoogheemraadschap van Schieland en de Krimpenerwaard de #insecticiden deltamethrin, esfenvaleraat en cypermethrin gevonden. De waargenomen concentraties in het kassengebied waren 'hoger dan ooit'.

Bij deze hoeveelheden zijn de stoffen direct dodelijk voor 60% van de insecten in het water. Vanwege de giftigheid gaat op de lange termijn zelfs 80% van de insecten dood.

Today’s “environmentalists” are no longer the environmentalists of my youth. They want wind, solar, nuclear, so that they can have lives as comfortable as those of their parents and grandparents. But whenever the choice between the environment and humanity’s continued malignant growth is on the line, today’s environmentalists choose growth over the environment. Their choice is nowhere more clear than the green delusion of renewable “wind energy.” "

Wind and solar are just more capitalism with it's usual focus on continued growth and exploitation of the planet's resources.

Edit:
I'd accept some wind and solar, as long as it's put on existing buildings and/or already developed land.
Not only does this save/restore habitat, it puts the power of energy generation in ppl's hands, saving them from paying greedy Corp energy behemoths.

In Südamerika wird wiederum viel Wald, unter anderem Regenwald, gerodet, um mehr Soja anzubauen. Ganze Ökosysteme werden zerstört, um die industrielle Tierproduktion zu füttern.
