@britt I've been a subscriber on Patreon for 6 months or so (after I started posting here primarily instead of the bird site) but I've just cancelled my subscription over this. I use mastodon.social as it was a big general purpose instance, and I'm fine with it being that way, but hiding smaller instances from the onboarding is not what I want to see out of the Fediverse. I may consider switching, though a gaming focused instance is probably not the best place for me.
