I told a joke on a Zoom Meeting and no-one laughed.
It turns out I'm not remotely funny.

*rimshot*
@TheLetterTen made the following joke comment on a teams meeting last month:
Context: i was helping install an update for my companies software and two contacts from the customer were talking about needing windows 10 installed instead of windows 11 for some old software they use.
I made a comment of "I guess sometimes turning it to 11 isn't all it's cracked up to be" and got crickets.... luckily the update finished so I quickly diverted to that instead.
Or they are not very sincere on meetings...
@sanfierro @TheLetterTen It's a reference to the mockumentary ' this is SpinalTap' .The Wikipedia article does a better job explaining the movie scene than I can. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Up_to_eleven
My comment was based on the customer saying that they needed to go down from 11 to 10 meaning that higher is not always better .
When she is a Ten, but not remotely funny...
Sounds like you were talking to a roomful of people responsible for running Linux. 😀
You know, cis administrators... 😀
When I was younger, I didn't know any trans people running Linux servers. They were all cis admins.
I love this so much
Wait, what? I don't get it.
@TheLetterTen I guess that joke didn't really connect.
Maybe you shouldn't have phoned it in.
Ironic toot!!
