I’m not sure what people’s thoughts on bluesky are on here but I’m working on a little project to let me use Mastodon apps with it (i.e Ivory)

It’s now far along enough that it is sort of usable with Ivory, I am hosting a public instance for people to try it out

@mergesort @kyle Thank you so much!! I’ll be writing some self host instructions soon, for now there is a docker image tagged as videah/skybridge that you can configure with the environment variables found in the .env.example file found in the repo

@seachanger I kept getting denied but then I realized I was using the wrong Bluesky domain name (bsky.social, NOT bsky.app), lol.

It's working for me now and it's glorious!

@seachanger I'm still playing around with it. I just tried posting to Bluesky via Ivory.app and looks like it didn't publish.

Looks like I'm able to read my Bluesky feed just fine though! Definitely still an alpha release

@seachanger if you have a custom domain as your handle try signing in with your email, that seems to be an issue a few people are having

@videah oh I got it working, errors on my part 🙇‍♂️

Though post creation CORS fail in the browser because the response `Access-Control-Allow-Headers` doesn't allow `Idempotency-Key` header (https://docs.joinmastodon.org/methods/statuses/#headers). Once I remove the header, I'm able to post 🤯

@videah I’ll give it a shot and take notes.

I went through the pain of Heroku hosting of a full Mastodon Server back in the day ;)

I ran the @moaparty public gateway and helping people self-host or small instance group hosting is a much better pattern.
