Benjamin@benschwarz @voltagex Yeah I think iOS asks first, on my Android every app just assumes permission and starts this crap upon install.
lime@BenjaminNelan @benschwarz @voltagex don't know how it is on Apple, but in Android you can tailor the notification permissions afterward. As long as the publisher is not completely evil, you can mute the ad/nag notifications and leave on the notification types you want.

I use Apple home + Siri to control already anyway! Just didn’t expect this weird push notification
