Take Chicago for instance. They have some ofvthe strictest gun control laws in the nation. They also have one of the highest murders in the nation.

@marq @rbreich i believe there are some gun buy back programs that are implemented by local law enforcement. For the most part all they are getting are junk guns no one wants anymore. Maybe the first world countries send the military from house to house to remove all guns and ammunition from their citizens. Is that acceptable to all Americans? I dont believe that criminals are going to give up their guns. Only law abiding citizens will be disarmed. How do we fix that?

@jamesmoffitt @rbreich Weird how many of those guns aren’t purchased in Chicago but shipped in from areas with super lax gun laws. Kinda like why some people want to build walls to stop the flow of drugs, ya follow?

@voron @rbreich i believe that there are a lot of stolen guns making it into our cities and suburban areas. For example people leave their guns in their vehicles and criminals break in at night and steal them.

@jamesmoffitt @rbreich actually a lot of them come not only from out of Chicago but from out of state. As to them being stolen. It’s a problem when people stack em up in closets like extra brooms because they are easier to buy than cigarettes

@jamesmoffitt @rbreich Chicago's crime rates are lower per capita than many southern cities. In addition, many of their gun controls have been overturned by the Supreme Court. It would be interesting to see if there was a difference in gun crimes after the handgun ban was lifted.
