The point is not access to #guns but rather that #Europe for the most part had seen enough #violence that #ViolenceCulture is being frowned upon.
- The problem ain't the lack of legal guns, in fact it's easy to get illegal firearms, but that violence is just not being accepted.
#Crime avoids violence like firearm discharges because that'll get you instantly to "wanted level 3" even for a signal cartridge or paintball launcher.
- Besides, it's way less normalized or accepted to get both brutalized by #cops (abeit I hate the trend moves in the wrong direction of #PoliceViolence escalating!) and the fact that crime is less treated as a moral failure but a symptom of something bigger, with justice being focussed on remediating the underlying issues and resocialization rather than commercial exploitation with forced labour.
