@georgetakei Agreed, time for him to resign.
Hell at this point lets get all of congress to resign, start over.
This is the exact thing guillotines were invented for. And I'm only mostly kidding about that.
With the GOP, corruption raises your prestige.
@georgetakei
I saw another post on his "vacation." He has to know the optics ain't good. But maybe the optics are not important anymore.
In 1984, Senator Garry Hart had to resign from his presidential candidacy because a journalist found him on a sailboat with a young woman. Times have changed.
It's time for a new way:
I thought Biden would work on fixing the Trump corruption of our top court. Instead we keep on losing our lives, our pursuits and our happiness as Thomas places his pubes on our pepsi cans.
Please stop electing Boomers
Trust me, I know and I agree w/ you 100%. I was born before the Civil Rights Act.
@mlbellar @georgetakei I hear you, but I get the sense that the rot is much, much, much deeper than imagined, in every single area of government.
Frankly it'll be a miracle if the Republic survives.
Without term limits and ending Citizen's United it most likely will not.
@mlbellar @georgetakei And outlawing gerrymandering, and enforcing it. And fixing SCOTUS.
It's way bigger than what Biden can resolve.
Guess who I bumped into the other day at Walmart?
Thomas got the gig because he's corrupt. It was part of the interview.
#ChiefJusticeRoberts is probably old school enough and enough of an institutionalist to conceivably pressure #ClarenceThomas to resign. He was the last Republican appointee from the pre Tea Party era.
What have the right wing republicans done the last 10 years that would lead you to believe any admission of ethics violations let alone republican accountability for their’ descent into total fäscism?
#ChiefJusticeRoberts was trying to get people to leave Roe & Casey in place but lower the viability standard to 15 weeks. That's probably why Alito leaked the opinion overturning those & showing the 4 names who had agreed to do that with him.
Roberts isn't some progressive unicorn or anything, but he almost certainly is an institutionalist. He's definitely an old school Republican jurist. I'm sure he believes #SCOTUS is ideally an impartial arbiter of law. He might even be more or less ethical in his day to day.
Oh yeah, they're going insane because Judge Merchan apparently gave...*GASP*...$15 to the Biden Harris campaign in 2020.
A quick poll:
Which judge will the #FarReich completely lose their shit over?
Resign? I don't think they know that word
