Over on the bad site, Twitter has lifted restrictions on Kremlin accounts and is no longer limiting the reach of Kremlin media accounts.

Russian government tweets are appearing in Twitter’s algorithmically-driven “For You” feed for newly created accounts, even when they did not follow them. So Twitter is not just *showing* these Kremlin accounts — it's algorithmically *boosting* them.

This comes just after Twitter made part of its source code public, revealing that it has apparently been suppressing Ukrainian content.

This was discussed on the April 3 episode of the Moderated Content podcast (Evelyn Douek, Alex Stamos and guest Sol Messing). They agreed that it was about many kinds of controversial content, not just Ukraine. Also, they said it only applied to Twitter Spaces.
