I question the conventional wisdom that DeSantis would be better than Trump. I've yet to see any evidence he's less cruel than Trump, and every aspect of his adult life, continuing into the present, suggests he's even *more* cruel.

@SteveBologna @maxkennerly He is and the aspects of fear and hesitancy in his children’s faces. When I saw it on Facebook and Twitter his supporters didn’t even object they asked where and why he’d put his photographs on private. He woo’s the Stalinist’s and the Nazi’s. Put, like Hitler he faces a higher level of anxieties when confronted digitally and publicly as regards to his educational anxiety attack on air.

For Trump, the avowed narcissist, every action of his has its moral compass pointed one way -- that if it's good for him, it must be a good thing, right? He's the only one that matters to himself.

For DeSantis, there's something more in play, a very religious notion that he has the god-given right to be cruel, to kill children if they don't conform, to torture and spread hate to the four corners of the world.

Trump's a garbage fire. DeSantis is an EPA superfund site.

@maxkennerly DeSantis is more dangerous, than the organized crime boss Donald Trump, in many ways. Trump is in it for grift, Fascism is just another tool to him. DeathSantis is about ideology and a Hitler want-a-be but he knows how the apparatuses of government work and how to effectively use them to implement his world view.DeSantis is calculating. @maxkennerly He's less random. One could easily see Trump accidentally starting a nuclear war, without even meaning to, just by doing the stupidest possible thing at the wrong moment. That wouldn't happen with Desantis. My preference, of course, is to give them both knives and let them fight it out, then refuse to give first aid to the survivor, but that's just me.

@maxkennerly Trump is a narcissistic two-bit grifter. He leverages his platform for personal gain, period. He doesn’t really believe any of the propaganda he’s pushing. Only that it benefits him at the end of the day.

DeSantis, on the other hand, appears to actually believe his vitriol. The fascism and cruelty will last longer than himself. That’s what makes him truly more dangerous.
