In our data (N ≅ 1000 people in the U.S), it was #effectiveAltruism (believing we have a duty to help if it doesn't make things worse)

The best predictor of flouting public health recommendations?

Preferring #liberty to #equality.

And we didn't detect an #identifiableVictomEffect.

Similar to the latter "Your Health vs. My Liberty" result (preferring liberty to equality predicted less hand-washing, staying at home, etc.), endorsing "individual responsibility over gov...support" predicted lower "truth discernment" in "most" (of 16) nations.
