Had a new idea for my A to Z blogging challenge.

I like discovering new music, and I like discovering new tales. So, I thought I'd ask all you people to send me some of their favorite songs, and I'll make it a challenge to match folktales to the songs. ๐Ÿ˜„ ๐ŸŽถ ๐ŸŽต

Any genre, no judgment ๐Ÿ˜Š
Boosts welcome.
Thank you!

Edit: songs don't have to be folklore themed. It's fun if they are not :)

I don't know anything about what's behind this song but this version has a hella groove. Madam Mariama from Gambian griot Juldeh Camara, accompanied by two English guys, in a Scots Gaelic pub in Glasgow, filmed for a Scots language music programme.
I can recommend loads of clips from around the world, but you're inundated already. If you're curious to hear more give me a shout.

Some of my favourites are from Hungary, like Besh o droM and Kerekes Band so Denmark instead with "A little tune about all the good parties that, for some reason, always ends up in the kitchen."
Dreamers' Circus, Kitchen Stories
Best gig I've ever been to was theirs.

@TarkabarkaHolgy John Doyle is a brilliant guitarist who turns stories from Irish history into songs. Lots of material for you to work with in his repertoire ๐Ÿ™‚

@TarkabarkaHolgy A tune about the fear of lack of heights, namely the Fens where they are "untroubled by hills", Horizontigo from Lau (all three live in Scotland, the accordionist originally from England).

@TarkabarkaHolgy Also from #Scotland, Rachel Sermanni, one of our best story tellers in song. Her whole repertoire is great. An old clip, but I love this version ๐Ÿ’–

I hope you enjoy some of these.
