Funny, looking at various lists my duck-search turned up, seeing the greatest folk songs of all time – Canadians are very heavily represented.

Most lists feature Joni Mitchell, Gordon Lightfoot, Ian & Sylvia, Neil Young, Robbie Robertson, Leonard Cohen. Quite a contribution to the genre of roots/folk music, especially given how small our population was at the time.
