7 abortion providers are ready to switch to misoprostol-only medication abortions if a judge bans the main abortion pill, mifepristone, nationwide. That ruling could happen as soon as this Friday.

Pretty much everything that Team "you're overreacting" insisted would never happen after Dobbs is, in fact, happening. It's almost as if they were not arguing in good faith this whole time.

@evacide The arguments being made in the lawsuit seem like they'd wind up leading to senseless anti-science US bans on other drugs as well. ie: Shouldn't all of the Big Boner:trademark: pills that said judge potentially uses also be banned for similar "they have side effects" reasons?

@evacide sadly (well not really) I have for other reasons stopped talking to the person with whom I had a long running bet against his assertion that “five years after roe v wade is overturned, no laws about abortion will be passed that will impose any restrictions over what Roe already allowed” although I cannot deny the temptation to send him a written collections notice.

@evacide I am trying to be shocked, but failing miserably. If the disaffected and disinterested don’t start paying attention and voting we will become an ultra conservative minority party ruled country. Their way or the Highway, and there won’t be a highway option. It is slow but it is happening - one state are a time.

@evacide I'm afraid the US has already started turning into some sort of autocratic far right state. The undermining of civil rights and the speed at which they're being ruled out is surprisingly fast. Sadly many people can't see it or are pretending not to see it.
