AOC: We're having "a whole hearing about a 24-hour hiccup in a right-wing political operation. ... We could be talking about health care ... abortion rights, civil rights, voting rights, but instead we're talking about Hunter Biden's" laptop.
Marjorie Taylor Greene uses her entire congressional time to complain that Twitter banned her (under its five-strike policy) when all she did was repeatedly say the covid vaccine was a failure and that you'd only get hurt from covid if you were over 65 or obese

Well, that's new: The Trump White House asked Twitter to remove a Chrissy Teigen tweet calling Trump a "pussy ass bitch." Twitter allowed it under its 'insults' policy, which allows three insults per tweet. It now has 100,000 retweets and 680,000 ‘likes.’
The big headline from today's Twitter hearing is not at all what congressional Republicans wanted

imagine that...🤣 ya got margie three toes screaming like a banshee and whining like old break pads... ... Anne Luna-tic... after only 5 seconds that idiot made me instantly turn it off....
of course it was a catastrophe...
It’s the ‘Goldilocks’ rule: Three insults is just right.
Publicity for twitter.
nice
Thank goodness. As long as only three words of my Old English slurs* are insulting, I don't need to worry about people who know dead languages tripping over it.
Right?
Right??
* I am not nice to bigots. At all.
It won't help in this case, but for most situations:
Triple dot at bottom of left-hand strip on website.
Gear symbol near bottom of left-hand strip.
Triple line menu button at upper right.
Filters option.
I've been having fun with that feature. 🙂
Fair remark, but:
a) Honest difference of opinion requires honesty from all involved.
In UK, political honesty being an ongoing issue, we long ago hit the point where many reached for the catharsis of name-calling, although admittedly some go with the Wodehousian style of insult (e.g. 'haunted Victorian pencil').
b) considering the context of her remark, was this particular interaction a difference-of-opinion situation, tbh...?

@barryzee
Yeah! I would be super concerned if you and I arbitrarily broke into a slanging match. I mean it would be incongruous, even disturbing behaviour. Yet I wouldn't be at all surprised to see such an interaction between politicians, or on Twitter.
Maybe it has to do with the way politics is performed, and how Twitter culture picked up on it. In UK terms, I would call it a pantomime, with audience participation (boo, hiss, etc); just a really nasty one.
This sort of inclusivity is highly offensive. And I think I speak for all of us pussy-assed bitches.
Do not associate us with the likes of Donald Trump, Ms. Teigen!
