We’re out here, but there’s no algorithm conjoining all of us together into a targeted demographic like the other SNS nets, so you gotta put in some work to find your brethren.

Not sure what other groups you’re after, but I’m sure there’s an instance for everyone here at this point.

@SexyCyborg I sure hope the issue improves with time, I’m doing my part convincing (or trying to anyways) my social circle to have a mastodon account. Biggest hurdle at the moment is the non straight forward onboarding of the service.

@SexyCyborg I suspect POC derive more benefit from the networks they created at Twitter than white folks do, so their cost of migrating is a lot higher. My sense is that a lot of the early Mastodon folks were LGBTQ (more specifically trans) because Twitter wasn’t particularly safe. If Twitters safety continues to decline as Musk seems to want, eventually those communities may be forced to pay that migration cost. It’s terrible.
