When you can call something "Open" that deliberately excludes China and many other countries, the term ceases to have any meaning.
But if "Open" means "Not China" that solves a lot of Open Source compliance problems- since we are apparently the exception to "Open".
@[email protected] We can keep invoking "5000 years of history" but who for? Certainly not the people it is directed at for whom it is a meaningless thought-terminating cliché. Ideally, they would accept an argument that older means better but since they won't, why bother?

@[email protected] The problem is we can engage with the West using arguments accepted by Chinese- and most official outlets do this to appease their bosses who have no knowledge of Western rhetorical tradition. The problem with this is it's incredibly unpersuasive.
