there still seems to be a fairly significant infosec Twitter audience unscathed by Elon

i honestly think DMs and social media should become more like Trillian or Email (E2E encrypted)

Trillian was an app that aggregated chats from multiple protocols/sources (AIM, ICQ, MSN, and it’s own unique protocol)

@Mastodon needs to do a few things to sustain itself IMO:

allow aggregated content from other Madtodon servers home feeds AND aggregate from other social platforms

make DMs seamless, but make it clear who you’re talking to and block certain protocols

idk i - an app security architect - have 10 more requirements for distributed social media, but i’m tired

DM me? 😅

@aprilwright @Mastodon well, @fuchsiii is waiting for a #Mastodon client from the same people that did the excellent #Tweetbot...

@aprilwright @Mastodon @fuchsiii It should be relatively "trivial" to support multiple #SocialMedia networks.

AFAIK @mariotaku 's #TwidereX does support #Twitter and #Mastodon. Previous #Twidere supported #StatusNet instead of Mastodon...

@kkarhan @Mastodon @fuchsiii @mariotaku it *should* be, but i never assume to know the backlog, personal/financial circumstances, etc of anyone.

mastodon seems ready for this type of decentralized amazingness, but it’s the APP/CLIENT builders who need to aggregate the protocols, not Madtodon itself

@aprilwright @Mastodon @fuchsiii @mariotaku OFC...

And one thing that makes #CustomerSupport & #SocialMediaManagment via #Twitter work are spechalized tools that allow to integrate DMs and Tweets with ticket systems and also proper escalation and assignment with existing #CRM / #ERP tools.

@[email protected] @[email protected] @[email protected] There are some CCSS clients that are offered on a subscription basis to corporate clients that also allow for #ticketing and proper account sharing [kinda like #TweetDeck but obviously better] but those are between "very expensive" and "call for pricing" with per-seat/agent licensing...

Mastodon 🐘

@aprilwright @Mastodon @fuchsiii @mariotaku Sadly #Twitter removed the indicator for the client used so I can't even look up what i.e. #DTAG uses for their #Support account...
