Erik Uden => Same with me, I’ve heard two days after they opened the position that already ~180 people had applied. I think a lot more must’ve applied by now.
I believe Mastodon is currently struggling to review all applications, so I’d wait another month or two. It’s rough, but it’s not their fault hundreds of people applied ^ ^

It should concentrate on simplicity
(Like actually Twitter does)
Then it could grow to actually become a "humane" challenger to Musk's profit-oriented App
... right now Mastodon is too complicated, and therefore stays small
