To add a bit more detail, since people are asking: My understanding, per posts on Twitter Blind, is that employees were escorted out at 5P local time Wednesday.
So, hours earlier than my tweet
@caseynewton Interesting. I used to work in that area. The office space around there isn't cheap.
Also, it appears that Elon have learned that it's a bit harder to just ignore paying your rent here compared to other places.
@maximusnoobus @caseynewton Fair warning.
#Musk "cleans up" (deletes) quite a bit of controversial posts during the nighttime hours.
One such example was this #antivax one which you will no longer find on his timeline: https://nitter.1d4.us/elonmusk/status/1612544141866729473?s=20&t=6CoQGXC0mJXe8tQQqLZShg
How many people out of work because of that little pr*ck
Lolllll....so "back to office" is what Elon is telling those left at Twitter but there are no actual offices to go back to because he's over leveraged and ad dollars aren't coming in and he can't afford rent......
@caseynewton Bad news:
Being thrown out on the streets of Singapore is embarrassing.
Good news:
Singapore street food is delicious!😋
Glass half full! Go get some chilli crab and Laksa!
@caseynewton the only reason this "news" seems unlikely is the fact the timings don't seem correct... You posted at 6.30am here in Singapore... No office landlords work at that time. Had this been posted about 80 minutes later, I wouldn't even doubt this story...
Additionally, no news in the local media about this - and usually these sorts of news items appear here within minutes...
May I ask what source do you have for this?
I'm v happy to be proven wrong, I'm just curious.
I have no clue why anyone would do business with him, but it must be the same reason people still do business with Trump, despite his history.
@caseynewton Welcome to mastodon Casey.
Sorry for Mr Genius Musk, as any dictator, first he does some good, then he screws up big time.
