(Edit to fix autocorrect error)

@bruces this is amazing!! Lol
@bruces Hahahaha genuinely laughing so hard at this!!! 😍

@bruces

Isn't it maladaptive for a virus to kill the host too quickly?

#overthinking #missingThePoint

@futurebird @bruces if you really want missing the point, there's a bacteriophage pictured, which doesn't infect animals, much less humans. But it's a recognizable virus nonetheless.
@bruces I've had a similar saying for years: "What doesn't kill you weakens & debilitates you for the rest of your life."
@bruces thank you for William Gibson
@bruces That what does not kill us merely prolongs the inevitable.

@bruces YAAAAAAASSSSS

(also, the embroidered microbes are pretty cute)

@bruces 😆This is really dark 😶‍🌫️😬
@bruces I love the design of the Bacteriophage :)
@bruces Just watching a let's play of "The Quarry." One repeating phrase there is "What doesn't kill you will make you stronger." 😂
@bruces I need this pattern.
@bruces Like the quote. FWIW, if talking about viruses like Covid in fact the evolutionary pressure is mostly to become more transmissible. Killing the infected person is not selected for, mostly just being able to jump from nose to nose. Covid doesn’t get more lethal other than being better able to infect people (some fraction of whom will go on to die).
@bruces alt text for those who need it: a patch showing viruses and bacteria. There is text on the patch, saying “what doesn’t kill you mutates and tries again”
