Comfort from helping people, I like being wanted.
I like structure, alot, in my life, to know what is expected of me.
I don't find comfort in alcohol, debt or noisey people.

But when they get too #effusive thanking me I get #uncomfortable and then less likely to help them in the future. “Oh crap, they’re going to want to get all thankful after… (hides)” #actuallyautistic

Many Autists for multiple reasons don’t like cats. You are in very good company.
Just an additional note in case this might interest you. We chose the word “connection” instead of “like” to be inclusive of the fact that many agree that cats behaviors are similar to those of Autists … there is even a beloved book called “All cars are on the Autism Spectrum”

@autismsupsoc Ahh I see. I don’t think I feel a connection. This might be slightly philosophical but perhaps I don’t feel a connection because I don’t like them..? Also, I think you might have meant to say something along the lines of “reiterate” instead of “repressing”. Repression is to hold something back.😬

@autismsupsoc Ahh representing is a good choice word there. I thought maybe “re-press” was meant which would kind of work I suppose. I’m the king of using the wrong words and phrases in my grammar. I sometimes use the phrase “of course you did” and I recently found out that it’s usually used in a condescending context. 😳 There is no telling how many people I’ve unintentionally offended.
