Why are billionaire tech bros so furious at the mainstream media?
Also glass onion is a Elon musk bio pic
@mollyjongfast
Yes!! I actually thought he reminded me of Musk as I watched!
@mollyjongfast i'm going to embreathiate that disruptive analysis
@mollyjongfast True, but Ed Norton's character was less stupid than Musk. I guess the Glass Onion people took Robert Downey, Jr's advice from Tropic Thunder. šŸ˜‚
@mollyjongfast Then the only thing it lacks is "Player of Games" by Grimes as part of the soundtrack...
@mollyjongfast I would say it's got a good amount of Mark Zuckerberg in the character as well as a few cute touches of Steve Jobs (one scene especially).
@mollyjongfast My kids made the same observation !! What a great movie … Norton was amazing, per usual!

@mollyjongfast Yep, which they indicated with an anagram of ā€œMiles Bronā€

Daniel Norton (@[email protected])

Attached: 1 image I just started watching Glass Onion, heard the name ā€œMiles Bronā€ and I knew it must be an anagram. Sure enough, I figured it out in a few seconds. VIDEO IS A SPOILER!

@RnDanger @mollyjongfast To avoid spoilers, see the link in my earlier reply.
@mollyjongfast I enjoyed classic Science Fiction movies, and I have to say that Elmo has forced me to re-evaluate George Pal’s WHEN WORLDS COLLIDE. It’s too close. Of course, since it’s 1951, everybody in the film is white. But even the main character is introduced into the movie as having just flown in from South Africa.
@mollyjongfast Not trying to be catty, but does he have that many friends? He doesn't seem to even have any charities or social goals that I'm aware of...
@BeneCal @mollyjongfast
They're not friends in the true meaning of the word. They are beholden to him for favors, transactional relationships, and turn on him when he loses.
@mollyjongfast I think there is plenty of Zuck in the lead character as well, but sure.
@mollyjongfast Please Molly, Miles Bron was far more personable than Musk has ever been.
@mollyjongfast and they weren't even subtle about it.
@mollyjongfast I totally smelled the Musk on that onion.

@mollyjongfast

Elon is failing to comply with the NHTSA rules.

"In 2021, NHTSA issued a Standing General Order that requires manufacturers and operators of automated driving systems and SAE Level 2 advanced driver assistance systems equipped vehicles to report crashes to the agency."

@mollyjongfast Hell, the Beatles could have predicted it in their own song "Glass Onion":

"Looking through the glass onion.
I told you about the fool on the hill
I tell you man he's living there still"

If Paul was the walrus, then Musk is the fool.

@mollyjongfast It was faxing high-concept bullshit to the geek that sold the reference for me.
@mollyjongfast just saw this last night and had same thought. May his crash be similarly explosive.
@mollyjongfast I legit thought for a minute that Rian Johnson and company had managed to make Glass Onion in the last few months. There’s SO MUCH recent Musk all over that movie. Just amazing.
@mollyjongfast I was thinking *exactly* this when we were watching it!
@mollyjongfast and such a good one! It was a next level rip on these annoying creatures!
@mollyjongfast Elon Musk is becoming more and more repulsive as the days pass and Tesla stock plummets.
@mollyjongfast I tried to watch it, lasted about 30 minutes. Disappointed considering the cast.
@mollyjongfast Miles Braun — a tech billionaire who positions himself as ā€œa disruptorā€ but ultimately relies on the system to protect his vested interests. Sounds familiar.
@mollyjongfast OMG I said the same šŸ˜ŠšŸ‘šŸ¼

@mollyjongfast

pretty sure the last 2-3 years were all part of Glass Onion's promotional cycle

@mollyjongfast that’s what I’ve been saying.
