Kellyanne Conway: The Case for and Against Trump https://www.nytimes.com/2023/01/13/opinion/donald-trump-joe-biden.html?smid=tw-share
I thought it important to pause from my holiday break to share with you this post, originally published on March 5, 2021, after Texas Gov. Greg Abbott bused asylum seekers on Christmas Eve in sub-freezing temperatures to Washington, DC. His political stunt, which included children and many who were not properly dressed for the conditions, was not a surprise, but it was particularly vile for a man who portrays himself as a Christian.
Short rant.
Southwest Air has cancelled ~70% of its flights in an epic meltdown this holiday season.
Remember, Southwest took $3.7B in federal aid from 2020-21.
It’s CEO got a pay raise to a $9.1M package in 2022.
Yet Southwest employees are working 16 hour shifts & threatened w/termination if they refuse overtime or call in sick.
Socialism for the wealthy. Capitalism for workers.
Stop trusting billionaires. Start holding them accountable. And start protecting workers.
End Rant.
He talked about electric cars. I don't know anything about cars, so when people said he was a genius I figured he must be a genius.
Then he talked about rockets. I don't know anything about rockets, so when people said he was a genius I figured he must be a genius.
Now he talks about software. I happen to know a lot about software & Elon Musk is saying the stupidest shit I've ever heard anyone say, so when people say he's a genius I figure I should stay the hell away from his cars and rockets.
One of the things I am finding difficult about using Mastodon is how I can "see" what people I follow are saying.
Some of them have commented in the past hour and yet I don't see them in my "home" or "explore". If I look them up specifically, I can see what they said.
Is there not a way for me to just see a feed of people I follow?
